31+1 Segments with Common 3-level Display Driver IC with Controller

 

SSD1629 is an integrated display driver with 31+1 output channels. It is designed with programmable display waveform, which allows much flexibility to match the need of different display technologies and
application.


The chip can be cascaded with SSD1626 to increase the number of output channel.

Features

  • Power supply 

– VCI/ VCIA: 2.4 to 3.6V       (Charge pump and analog power supply)

– VDD: tied to VCI                ( Logic operation)

– VDDI0: 1.8 to VDD            (MCU interface)

– V0: 10 to 40V                     (High voltage display driving)

  • Power chip

– Low power charge pump with output programmable from 10 to 40V, in step of 1V

– Selectable charge pump multiplier ratio (18x,16x, 12x, 8x, 4x)

– Built in oscillator or external clock inputs

  • Display controller

– Flexible driving waveform

– Dual frame display memory 32 x 2 bits (previous and new)

– Cascade with up to 9 SSD1626, supporting higher channel pin counts

  • Display driver

– 3-level output driver: V0, V1 and VSS.  Each pin can be individually programmed to V0, V1, VSS or Hi-Z (high impedance)

  • Output channel

– 31 segments                                    for normal segment/ icon driving

– 1 background segment (SEG[0])  background segment 

– 1 common (COM)                            common signal
