Solomon Systech Appoints New CEO
(Hong Kong – 5 January, 2016) Solomon Systech (International) Limited (the “Company”) has today announced that its Board of Directors (“the Board”) has appointed Dr. Yeh Tsuei-Chi (“Dr. Archie Yeh”) as Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”), effective 4 January 2016. Dr. Leung Kwong Wai (“Dr. Humphrey Leung”), the founder of Solomon Systech Limited (“Solomon Systech”), continues to serve as the Chairman of the Board. Dr. Leung has been the CEO and Managing Director of the Group since 2004, and has also taken up the role of Chairman of the Board since 13 May 2015 when Mr. Patrick Sun retired as Independent Non-executive Chairman of the Board. These arrangements are aimed at separating the roles of the Chairman and the CEO in re-compliance with the Corporate Governance Code as set out in the Appendix 14 of The Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited.
Dr. Archie Yeh is a veteran with more than 30 years of experience in the semiconductor and electronics industry. Prior to joining Solomon Systech, Dr. Yeh has held senior management positions with both startup and mature companies, including Availink, Inc., Sunplus Technology Co., Ltd., Faraday Technology Corporation, Winbond Electronics Corporation, Cheertek Inc., etc.. He has also served as an Adjunct Professor in the Electronics Engineering Department at National Tsing Hua University in Taiwan. Dr. Yeh holds a PhD degree in Engineering Science from the University of Mississippi, USA.
